Trust can be something that is difficult to give and when it is lost almost impossible to regain. When trust is placed in fellow man it often leads to disappointment and heartache. People are driven by their own desires, are motivated by their own selfish needs.

Though man is guided by Jesus to love as God loves man is imperfect and has been corrupted by sin. When you are wronged or hurt by others pray for that person but do not seek revenge as only God is fit to judge.

To love like this is a daily struggle, a battle against the basic nature that is man. What this does mean as that only through a relationship with God can we have any hope of having that pure love flow from our hearts and be a blessing to those who are around us. Only trust in the Lord for he is the only one who will never disappoint.

Micah 7:5-6 Put no trust in a neighbor; have no confidence in a friend; guard the doors of your mouth from her who lies in your arms; for the son treats the father with contempt, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.

Jeremiah 17:5-12 Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord. He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?

Isaiah 2:22 Stop regarding man in whose nostrils is breath, for of what account is he?

Romans 12:19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written,“Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

Proverbs 3:5-12 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your
produce;

Psalm 118:8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man

Romans 13:1-2 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.

John 20:31 But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the
Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Amen
